Hi, I’m Linda Cateriano.
I started Reinvention Travel after a lifetime of my own whirlwind journeys—that took me to over 110 countries—and decades of experience within the travel industry.
My Story
From my first trip to Mexico, I knew I’d be hooked on travel for life. Curious and inquisitive, a summer break in college to study art in Amsterdam turned into a yearlong trek and overland trip from Istanbul to Kathmandu. After trying out life in an ashram in India I found myself home to finish school. At graduation I left for a stint in the Peace Corps, and after exploring Central and South America it only fueled my desire to see more of the world.
After decades of exploring; from the beaches of Bali to the boulevards of Buenos Aires I’ve spent my life and focus in travel and tourism with a special interest in preserving World Heritage sites.
For the past 30 years I’ve worked for 2 major airlines and more recently corporate travel, managing business and leisure itineraries for Fortune 500 executives, CEOs, television and movie production crews, and the occasional celebrity. Although this is the operations side of travel, I remain a passionate travel nomad, exploring new destinations whenever I can.
Travel, Always
Throughout the decades, I’ve cycled through careers, but I always had one constant- travel. As I’ve gotten older, that itch to explore hasn’t changed but the way I travel has. I know what it’s like to be extra cautious while navigating Paris’s charming cobblestone streets, or nervous as I go up and down curvy stairs without handrails in Egypt.
Feeling a little apprehensive about traveling solo at this stage of life? That’s why I started Reinvention Travel; to share my love and enthusiasm for traveling and helping mature travelers like myself continue to discover the world’s treasures. With us, you can join like-minded women who share an unquenchable curiosity and a passion for exploration in a softer and more comfortable way.
